১৯ তারিখ আন্দোলনের সম্মুখযোদ্ধা ছিলো। সন্ধার ঠিক আগ মূহুর্তে মিরপুর দশ নম্বরে শাহ আলী প্লাজার সিড়িতে ওর ঘাড়ে খুব বাজেভাবে গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়। প্রথমে চিকিৎসার জন্য আল হেলাল হাসপাতালে নেয়া হয় এবং পরবর্তীতে সোহরাওয়ার্দী হাসপাতালে নেয়া হয়, যেখানে ওটিতে নেয়ার পর কর্তব্যবরত চিকিৎসক ওকে মৃত ঘোষনা করে।
