আবদুল গণি বোরহান, বয়স ৩২ বছর। ফেনীর সোনাগাজী উপজেলার মতিগঞ্জ ইউনিয়নের ছাড়াইতকান্দি গ্রামের প্রয়াত মাস্টার আহসান উল্যাহ ও নুর নাহারের ছেলে। পাঁচ ভাই-বোনের মধ্যে তিনি ছিলেন তৃতীয়। কুমিল্লা আলিয়া মাদ্রাসা থেকে কামিল পাশ করে রাজধানীতে সন্ধানী লাইফ ইন্স্যুরেন্সের প্রধান কার্যালয়ে চাকুরি নেন। একই উপজেলার চরছান্দিয়া ভূঞা বাজার সংলগ্ন এলাকায় সেলিম ভূঞা-বিবি হাজেরা দম্পতির মেয়ে আয়েশা আক্তারকে বিয়ে করেন ২০২৩ সালের ১৪ সেপ্টেম্বর। শুরু হয় সুখের স্বপ্ন বুনন। আয়েশা সোনাগাজী ইসলামিয়া কামিল মাদ্রাসার ফাজিল (ডিগ্রী) প্রথম বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী। কথা ছিল ২০২৫ সালে আয়েশাকে রাজধানীতে নিজের কাছে নিয়ে রাখবেন। কিন্তু সেই কথা রাখতে পারেননি বোরহান। ২০২৪ সালের জুলাই-আগস্টে বৈষম্য বিরোধী আন্দোলনে ছাত্র-জনতার সাথে অংশ নেন। গণঅভ্যুত্থানের ঠিক আগেরদিন ৪ আগস্ট বিকালে পুলিশ ও পতিত আওয়ামী সন্ত্রাসীদের গুলিতে শহিদ হন বোরহান।

Abdul Goni Borhan was 32 years old. He was the son of the late Master Ahsan Ullah and Nur Nahar from Charaitkandi village, Motiganj Union, Sonagazi, Feni. He was the third among five siblings. After completing his Kamil degree from Comilla Alia Madrasa, he joined the headquarters of Sandhani Life Insurance in Dhaka. On September 14, 2023, he married Ayesha Akhter, the daughter of Selim Bhuiyan and Bibi Hajera, from Char Chandia Bhuiyan Bazar in the same upazila. Their dreams of a happy life had just begun. Ayesha was a first-year Fazil (Degree) student at Sonagazi Islamia Kamil Madrasa. The plan was to bring her to Dhaka in 2025. However, fate had other plans. During the anti-discrimination movement in July-August 2024, Borhan stood with the students and the people. On August 4, the day before the mass uprising, he was martyred in the afternoon by gunfire from police and ruling party terrorists.
